Is Sculptra Suitable For My Face?

Sculptra is a semi-permanent derma filler used to restore loss of volume on the face and stimulate collagen and elastin to improve texture of the skin.

The main active ingredient is Poly-L-Lactic-Acid which acts as a lifting agent and as a biostimulator which after few weeks encourage the skin cells to produce more collagen.

Sculptra last up to 2 years.

Sculptra is an excellent treatment used to treat:

  • severe loss of volume on face
  • reduce deep wrinkles.
  • elevate recessed areas of skin.
  • Redefine or soften contours.

IS SCULPTRA SAFE?

Yes, Sculptra is a safe form of dermal filler. It’s U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved.

When SCULPTRA procedure is carried out by an experienced medical professional the likelihood of developing a severe adverse effect is very low.

It may not be an effective procedure if you’re allergic or sensitive to any of the filler’s components or if you have trouble healing after an injury.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

Sculptra treatment is a mini-invasive procedure and therefore people can carry on with their life straight after the treatment. However, some may experience swellings, bruising and discomfort after the treatment which usually only last a couple of days.

Flying straight after cheek filler is not recommended so we encourage people to plan their appointments accordingly.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE FOR MESOTHERAPY TREATMENT?

After Sculptra treatment, we recommend you avoid alcohol for the first 24 hours after the procedure, as it may potentially worsen swelling and bruising. For the first 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise and saunas, and do not rub or massage the area under the eyes. Keep the area clean and avoid make-up for the first 24 hours. Use an ice pack to reduce swelling.
